Delete your account
You can delete your Pollrus account at any time. Deleting the app from your phone does not delete your account.
In the app
- Open Pollrus and go to your profile tab.
- Tap the settings button, then Account.
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
Deletion happens right away and can't be undone. You'll be signed out, and the email address and username are freed up.
If you can't sign in
If you've lost access to your account, or it's suspended, email [email protected] with the subject line Delete my account. Send it from the email address on the account and include your username. We'll confirm the request with that address before deleting anything, and let you know when it's done.
What gets deleted
- Your login, profile, settings, date of birth and phone number.
- Your polls, along with their options, votes, likes, comments and favorites.
- Your votes, likes, favorites and comments on other people's polls. A comment that has replies is replaced with a "deleted" placeholder so the replies still make sense; your words are removed.
- Your messages, and your profile photo and poll images.
What we keep, and for how long
- Information we're required to keep for legal, security, fraud-prevention or safety reasons, such as reports and moderation decisions about your account. Your name is removed from reports you filed.
- Server and security logs, for up to 90 days.
- Backup copies, until they're overwritten on our normal schedule.
- Images already sent to our moderation provider, Hive, follow Hive's own retention practices.
